The Drop Rideshop Inc. – Equipment Rental & Liability Release Agreement

 

Please Read Carefully Before Signing

General Rental Policies

•A matching government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) and the credit card used for reservation are required at pickup.

•Renters must be 18 years of age or older.

•The individual named on the rental contract must submit full payment and credit card information at the time of reservation and/or rental.

•The individual named on the contract must be present at pickup. Items will not be released otherwise.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made three (3) days or more before the pickup date = Full refund.

Cancellations under three (3) days (72 hours) before pickup = No refund.

No refunds for illness, weather conditions, early returns, or non-usage.

Pickup Policy

•Rentals can be picked up on or after:

11:00 AM 

unless other arrangements are made.

Return Policy

•Rentals must be returned no later than:

10:15 AM 

on the day immediately following the last day of your rental.

Late returns exceeding 2 hours will be charged a full day rental fee of $49.25 per SUP.

•If a late return interferes with another reservation, you will be charged the full rate of the impacted reservation.

Rental Agreement Terms

 

This agreement is between The Drop Rideshop Inc. (“Lessor”) and the Renter (undersigned).

 

By signing, you agree to:

1.Assume full responsibility for all rented equipment and accessories.

2.Comply with all provincial and local boating regulations, and all directives from emergency or law enforcement personnel.

3.Confirm you are capable of operating the equipment safely and received it in good condition.

4.Accept full liability for any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment.

•Lessor is authorized to charge the credit card on file for repair or replacement costs.

5.Be responsible for returning equipment clean and undamaged, or be subject to applicable repair/replacement fees.

6.Return all equipment by the agreed time and date, or incur “1 additional day rate” for each day late.

7.Ensure proper and safe transportation of equipment, using appropriate restraint devices. (Ratchet straps provided with SUP rentals.)

8.Accept that improper loading may result in damage to your vehicle, other vehicles, or the equipment.

9.Release The Drop Rideshop Inc., its employees, owners, affiliates, agents, officers, and directors from any liability for damage to vehicles during loading, unloading, or transport.

10.Recognize the inherent risks associated with Stand Up Paddling (SUP), Wakeboarding, Wakesurfing, and related activities:

Coast Guard-approved Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) are required and must be worn at all times.

•Use of a PFD does not eliminate all risks associated with water sports.

11.Release The Drop Rideshop Inc. and its agents, employees, owners, and affiliates from liability for negligence or injury arising from the rental or use of equipment, and agree to hold them harmless for any associated costs or claims.

12.Acknowledge that modifications to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.

13.Agree that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta.

14.Confirm you have read and understood this agreement and sign it voluntarily, binding yourself, your heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

Damage and Loss Fees

•Lost board or equipment = Full replacement cost

•Cut or puncture to inflatable SUP = $50 minimum, up to full replacement cost

•Broken fin (rigid boards) = $50

•Lost or broken paddle = $100

Important Reminder

 

All Rentals Must Be Returned By:

10:15 AM (Monday–Saturday)

11:15 AM (Sunday)

unless otherwise arranged.
